30 YEARS OF MATRIX

There is something to celebrate, two things in fact, because MATRIX is celebrating a double anniversary: MATRIX was founded 30 years ago, and for 15 years we have been at home with our collections in the MATRIX shop in St. Johanns-Vorstadt. It's hard to believe how much time has passed. Has it really been that long?

A lot has happened. Looking back on our work, many wonderful memories come to mind. We have designed over 400 patterns and put a lot of muscle power into producing several thousand scarves, trays and other products in our print shop. Numerous wonderful encounters with our valued customers have always given us pleasure and motivated us to further develop the label and its direction. Some highlights stand out, such as the 2015 Basel Culture Prize or last year's legendary scarf exchange. Our collections are always connected to you, our dear customers. Your enthusiasm and appreciation are what drive us.

We have put together a series of pictures for you here. It shows a selection of scarves that have been created from 2006 to the present day. Perhaps you will recognise one or the other! Enjoy browsing through.

WIN 30 x MATRIX

We would like to share our MATRIX anniversary with you and invite you to take part in a competition. For our birthday, we would like a photo album, a picture book with as many colourful MATRIX products and their owners as possible. Come and visit us in our shop and bring your MATRIX products with you. We will take a photo of you with your favourite scarf, tray or other product from our range. We will document these photos in an album. There will only be one copy of this photo book and the pictures will not be used for any other purpose.

So, what can you win? Every photo will be entered into a big prize draw. There are 30 MATRIX prizes to be won, ranging from scarves of your choice to trays, millet cushions, glassware, notebooks and more. The prize draw will take place in February 2026. All participants will receive a personal invitation. The «30 Years of MATRIX Album» photo campaign is open now and closes on 31 January 2026. We look forward to your participation and to a wonderful joint review of the MATRIX collections from their beginnings to the present day.
