SCARF SWAP 2026

Following its successful launch in 2024, the popular MATRIX Scarf Swap is now entering its second round. In response to your numerous positive comments, we are pleased to invite you to the next event on June 4, 2026.

The idea behind the scarf exchange is to put your MATRIX scarves—which no longer fit or are rarely worn—back into circulation. Perhaps your color preferences have changed, or your favorite piece no longer matches your wardrobe? MATRIX scarves stand for quality and durability, far too good to remain unworn in the closet. With the scarf exchange, the scarves find new owners and thus find their way back into everyday life.

We are already looking forward to an impressive variety of scarves, ranging from MATRIX’s early days around 1996 to scarves from the current collection.

How it works:
Bring your MATRIX scarves that you like to swap and are in perfect condition, to our shop. We will wash and iron your scarves. You will receive an invitation to an event where all the scarves offered for exchange will be displayed. Over a glass of wine, you can negotiate an exchange directly with the owners of other scarves. Exchanges are made without payment. The scarfs you did not swap, you can simply take them washed and ironed back home with you.

Until May 23, 2026:
Starting now and through this date, we will be accepting your exchange scarves at the MATRIX Shop.

May 30 until June 4, 2026:
The exchange scarves will be on display at the MATRIX Shop.

June 4, 2026, 6–8 p.m.:
MATRIX Scarf Exchange at the MATRIX Shop.
Please save the date. We look forward to bringing you together with many other customers eager to exchange scarves.

What a celebration! Dear friends of MATRIX, and everyone who joined us:

Thank you so much!

We’re still amazed from the MATRIX anniversary celebration and so happy about this wonderful evening with you. Thank you very much for being there, an contributing to the lively and cheerful atmosphere, and for all the wishes, flowers, and gifts.

MATRIX’s 30th anniversary couldn’t have been better. A special thank you goes out to everyone who participated in the photo campaign. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the raffle winners and thank everyone else for the great atmosphere, even if they didn’t win a prize. The three (!) photo albums were viewed with great interest. They will be present in our shop over the next few weeks for those who haven’t yet had a chance to flip through them.

We would like to take this opportunity to once again extend our heartfelt thanks to Claire Guerrier of finebouche toujours for the delicious buffet, to Martin Schrader and Nicole Wyss of Weinbau Flimmer for the excellent wines from their vineyard, and to Ailen Monti for the music.

We are now looking forward to another decade with MATRIX and to seeing you all again here and there.

NEW TRAYS

The new MATRIX tray collection is here! Lots of new patterns and colours, as always screen-printed onto fabric in our studio and then pressed into trays. The trays serve as useful bases for pens, glasses, utensils, food and more. Versatile variants allow for colourful or subtle combinations for individual use. The trays are available online or in the MATRIX shop.

CUSHIONS

To accompany the blankets after Camille Graeser, we carry a small number of sofa cushions in the MATRIX Shop. The front of the cushion cover is made of 100% superfine merino wool, while the back is made of pure linen. The filling consists of sheep's wool granulate from the Emmental region and Swiss stone pine shavings from Graubünden.

Φ [fi:]

Since antiquity, the golden ratio has been used in the arts, in architecture, and in fashion due to its aesthetically pleasing nature. This principle of proportions describes a ratio that is perceived as particularly harmonious to the human eye and in mathematics, it is represented by the Greek letter Φ [fi:].

The new MATRIX Foulard Collection 2025/26 is inspired by the golden ratio and other mathematical number sequences. As such, we have drawn inspiration from the fields of science, nature, and design history to bring you the present iteration of foulards and scarves, screen-printed on silk and wool.
